Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use different papers or wraps?

Yes. Rotengin™ is compatible with most standard papers and wrap formats — including 84 mm, 98 mm, and 110 mm sizes — accommodating approximately 0.5–1.5 g of filling material. The Small Rotengin works best with compact wrap formats in the 84–110 mm range, while the Large Rotengin supports leaf-style, long-cut, and oversized wrap formats with capacities of 1–3.5 g.

Can I use a tip or filter?

Yes. You can insert a small round paper or glass filter, as long as it fits comfortably within the chamber.Place the filter at the end of the forming slot along with your filling material, then close the panel.Once the automated forming cycle completes, your finished piece will come out evenly packed with the filter secured in place.

Is it battery powered or USB charged?

Rotengin™ uses a built-in rechargeable lithium battery.Charge it with any USB-C cable — full charge takes about 2 hours, good for roughly 200 preparation cycles. You can also operate it while plugged in.

My output feels too loose or too tight — how can I adjust it?

It's simple to fine-tune. Make sure your filling material is spread evenly inside the chamber. For a firmer output, add slightly more material. For a lighter output, use less material.Rotengin™'s smart compression system will naturally optimize the consistency after a few uses.

How do I clean it?

Quick clean:After several preparation cycles, tilt the device slightly to the left and open both panels — any loose material will fall out naturally.Use a soft brush or cloth to sweep the chamber.Deep clean:Detach the steel shafts and replace the apron as part of scheduled maintenance, typically every 600–1,200 preparation cycles.
